We remove wisdom teeth, as well as broken and decayed teeth. Our process is simple!

  • X-rays: To ensure the best method of extraction, our oral surgeons will take a quick digital X-ray of the impacted area. This step is especially important for wisdom tooth extraction. From these images, our dentists will determine which way is the most effective way to pull the tooth.

Dental treatment for adolescents and teens

  • Local Anesthesia: Next, we inject a local anesthetic to ensure that you won’t feel anything during the extraction phase. Local anesthesia blocks the pain receptors in the immediate and surrounding area of the injection site.

  • Extraction: This part of the process is the quickest! Using special tools, the dentist will remove your tooth in a matter of seconds!

  • Initial Healing Steps: Immediately after your tooth is removed, you will need to bite down on a gauze pad in order to help your body form a blood clot. You will be asked to keep the gauze in place for 30-45 minutes.

  • Final Healing Steps: Once the clot has successfully formed over the site, your body will begin healing. At this point, you’re ready to go home! Your job will be to reduce swelling with a few 20-minute applications of ice packs and warm, saltwater rinses to keep the site clean.
